I LOVE a Parade!

I love a parade,
the tramping of feet,
I love every beat I hear of a drum.
I love a parade,
when I hear a band I just want to stand and cheer as they come.
That rat-a tat-tat,
the blare of a horn.
That rat-a tat-tat, a bright uniform;
The sight of a drill will give me a thrill,

I thrill at the skill of everything military.
I love a parade, a handful of vets, A line of cadets or any brigade,
For I love a parade.

I just adore your blog and wanted to let you know that since you are one of my previous top 10 blogs of the week, you have been entered in a giveaway! The only catch is that you have to be the most voted for this week to become one of the Hall of Fame, crafty blogs. If you are chosen then you will be put into a vote for blog of the year in January!!!!
So please encourage your readers to head over to the Crafty Homemaker and vote for you plus when they do vote for you they are put into a different drawing! Again I just love you blog and thank you for all you do!

I agree the holidays are different. My two girls (20 and 23) are not married so we still have the Christmas morning tradition but it's so different than when they were little. We don't have them for the church events that we loved as a family or the community events that are so fun. As with Rhonda's post about her grandmother, transitions are so difficulty especially during the holidays. Breaking from tradition is hard. Thank you for sharing this post!
