Last week was Girl's Camp. We've been preparing for a couple of months. Teaching the girls skills like knot tying, lashing (not with mascara), firestarting, outdoor cooking, knife sharpening, building shelters, and first aid. This is the highlight of our year. It was fun, fabulous, loud, and lovely. I'm so glad I got to go. I'm so glad we're done.

I was fortunate enough to go to boarding school - and we went camping as well, which was great fun.

I remember going to camp. I remembering being so excited and not wanting to ever leave, but part of me always being happy to come home.
Seriously Super, I am so jealous!! I adore my memories of Girl's Camp...I bet you were the BEST leader!!!

I went on a 4-h camping trip one time. That was about it. this looks like a blast. And you captured some great photo moments!
I loved the special moments with my friends at camp when I was growing up. You captured some of those moments very well.
this year was my daughter's first girls camp. She took over 200 photos! I loved GC when I was younger. It has changed a bit, like the length of time "camping" It used to be a real week of camping, out in a tent roughing it using the skills we were taught. One year we even had to dig latrines! My daughter went for 2 full days that they stretch into 3-- went up at noon on the first day and came home at noon on the 3rd day, slept in cabins, had flushing toilets and showers! They had a good time and that is the important thing right?! Your shots embody what they are suppose to learn, friendship and working together! I'm glad that you got to go!

Looks like it was a lot of fun. Sounds pretty neat. The only camp I really ever got to go to was music camp. That wasn't a whole lot of fun.
